By accessing or using The Marimba Studio at themarimbastudio.co.za, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Marimba Studio is a browser-based virtual marimba application offering interactive instruments, guided learning, a song library, profile-backed progress, Rumble Points, recording tools, settings, and educational content.

Users may create a profile using email and password or a supported third-party login such as Google. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Accounts may be restricted, suspended, or removed for misuse or breach of these Terms.

Guest users may access limited free content. Signed-in users may receive profile-backed features such as synced RP, owned unlocks, settings, song progress, recordings, and full songbook visibility.

RP is a virtual in-app currency used inside The Marimba Studio. RP may be earned through eligible activity, granted as a bonus, or awarded through promotions.

Creating a profile is free. The Marimba Studio may also offer optional paid profile subscriptions and Rumble Point (RP) support top-ups through PayFast or another payment provider shown at checkout.

Subscriptions may be monthly or yearly. If you cancel a subscription from the dashboard, benefits remain active until the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise required by law or stated at checkout.

RP top-ups are optional support purchases. RP has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, resold, redeemed for money, or exchanged outside The Marimba Studio. Payments are generally final once correctly processed and credited, except where a refund, reversal, or correction is required by law or approved for a duplicate, technical error, fraud, or abuse.

Eligible users may record and save performances. Users retain ownership of their original performances, but grant The Marimba Studio the limited permission needed to store, process, display, and deliver recordings back to them as part of the Service.

The song library may include marimba arrangements, learning note sequences, backing tracks, demonstrations, or references to well-known songs. The Marimba Studio does not claim ownership of third-party compositions, lyrics, original artist recordings, or underlying musical works.

Alistair Dickerson is the sole creator, owner, founder, and developer of The Marimba Studio and owns the Service's original code, interface systems, visual design, branding, marimba audio samples, tutorials, learning materials, note sequences, platform systems, and RP system. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, extract, scrape, clone, or commercially exploit these assets without written permission.

Alistair Dickerson is the sole developer and operator of The Marimba Studio. He is responsible for its design, technical development, deployment, administration, and ongoing maintenance.

The Marimba Studio processes payments through the Rumble Websites PayFast portal and verified PayFast merchant account. Rumble Websites is used only as the payment merchant account; Alistair Dickerson remains the sole developer and operator of The Marimba Studio. All payment transactions are handled securely through PayFast's platform.

The Marimba Studio, Alistair Dickerson, and Rumble Websites will never ask you for your bank account details, login credentials, or passwords. If you receive any such request, treat it as fraudulent.

Account data, profile storage, authentication, recordings, cookies, third-party services, and privacy rights are explained in the separate Privacy Policy. By using profile, recording, or synced features, you acknowledge that some information must be processed to provide those features.

You must not reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, exploit bugs, automate RP abuse, bypass account/storage/RP/security controls, interfere with infrastructure, upload unlawful content, or use the Service in a harmful or disruptive way. We may restrict, suspend, remove, or refuse access where needed.

The Marimba Studio is actively developed and may change over time. Features, song availability, RP rules, recording limits, device support, and access rules may be added, changed, paused, or removed. Continued use after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". No warranties are given that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, or suitable for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Alistair Dickerson shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, including loss of RP, recordings, profile data, unlocks, opportunities, or device compatibility.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
